News from the Farm
March has been a busy month and April will be just as busy!!
The herd of English Longhorns have been calving and we now have 7 new calves.
Lambing got off to a flying start with over 200 ewes lambing in the first 5 days!! Only another 1100 to go!! They will be out in the fields around the Hall soon.
The arable fields are being prepared for planting spring crops, being ploughed first then drilled.
News from the Gardens
Our gardener has been busy over the winter planting all the bulbs around the courtyard which are just beginning to show their heads, a week or so of warm sunshine and they will be in full bloom. The scent will be amazing.

Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea was a great success and The Saloon looked welcoming with the roaring fire. The tables were laid up with vintage china and with the 1950s music playing in the background the scene was set for a vintage afternoon tea.
